Rowing Challenge – We did it!

Man we put on a lot of meters at the end, but we did it!  One million, eleven thousand meters in thirty-one days!  Great job to everyone who got their butts on those rowers day after day.  And a special congrats to Mike Rose, who alone put in over 100,000 meters!

Great effort, all!

Rowing Challenge Daily Update

Stay on target!  Stay on target!

So close guys, another amazing day on the rowers yesterday.  We were on pace for a million through about the 15th of this month.  Then we started slacking off a little bit.  But the last few days we’ve really dug in, and now it’s almost a cake walk to the finish line.   Let’s finish this up in style!

Progress charts and source spreadsheets.

Meters needed today: 19,151!!!

Rowing Challenge Daily Update

Awesome job yesterday, everyone!  We put in 71,743 meters!  Definitely helped catch us up to where we need to be.  Two more days, we can do it!  One million meters is easily within our grasp!

Also, a great shout-out to Will Githmark!  This little man spent almost an hour on the rower yesterday and logged 8,000 Meters!!

Progress charts and source spreadsheets.

Meters needed per day:  40,600!!

Will putting in his time on the rower. 8,000 meters worth of time. WOW!!!

Rowing Challenge Daily Update

Okay, we fell just shy of the needed meters yesterday.  But it was a great effort.  We had 19 rowers, 18 of which put in 1k or more.  Five put in over 5k each!  We’re close.  Coach put up 1k as part of the workout today, so let’s get it done!

Needed daily: 52,300 Meters.

Rowing Challenge Daily Update

Well, there is good news and bad news.  The good news is that there was a sheet of rowing results from 1/23 that was hiding.  It had quite a few meters on it, so I’ve added it.  The bad news is that we only got in 36K meters yesterday.  After adding in the missed meters and yesterday, we now need 52K meters every day for the next four days.  Now aren’t you glad I found that missing sheet?  Get on those rowers!

Rowing Challenge Update

Okay guys, it’s time to dig in if we’re going to make a million.  Five days left, 290k meters to go!  That means we need about 58,000 meters a day for the next five days!  This can be done!  We’ve fallen off the pace the past week or so, but we can pick it back up.  I know I’ll be putting on a 5k every night.  Just gonna make myself do it.  Do you have it in you? ;-)

Rowing Challenge Update

Well, looks like our original 500K goal wasn’t quite ambitious enough.  One million meters is within our reach.  I need to get yesterdays and today’s numbers, but after Tuesday, we were only 37K short of a one million pace!  Let’s be sure to get on those rowers and get in some meters!  Wouldn’t want to fall just short, now would we? :: grin ::

  • Coach’s Challenge :: Evil Grin ::

Also, make sure to get on those rowers and add to the total!  Heck, after the first two days, we were dang near on track for a million meters!  I’ll update the full meter count tomorrow night after I get the logs.
